Most of the schools in Vancouver are notorious for grabbing their money, giving minimalinstruction then throwing them literally on the street during breaks or after school (why spend money on a leisure room between classes?). I have seen a few schools put money into "crowd controllers" on the street to let pedestrians go by but again it seems like the wrong approach. To the students, they're stuck in the middle and must put up with the lack of value for their money, and Canadians who give them a dirty look for being stuck on the sidewalk. Too bad.
