Telus Sucks!

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

I can’t believe the horrendous customer service they provided me! They accidentally lost all of my vital messages when they upgraded their system. They said a customer service manager would call me back. I got one message from the guy. I left him several messages over the next two weeks to contact me. He never did. Unbelievable!

I finally got in touch with someone else. I had to talk to at least 10 different people and explain everything all over again to each of them in all to get some kind of resolution. Guess what that was? An $8 credit. All I really wanted was an apology and someone to say, “hey, you’re right, we f*cked up” but they said they couldn’t admit liability even though they didn’t know where the agent’s head was at.

I’m disconnecting mine and my parents phone, cell and internet lines with Telus. I’m going to VoIP through Vonage or Shaw digital voice. I’m also starting a business in September with several dedicated lines and will NOT be using Telus. I’m also going to tell anyone who cares to listen exactly what Telus service gets you…NOTHING worthwhile.

Standing in line at Tim Hortons

Monday, March 19th, 2007

With all the proceeds Timmy’s earns from the blood and sweat of our troops overseas, you would think they could afford to train their staff: smile, take my money, make my food, and get me the fuck out. Are they taught to be consistently slow to pad their lineups, and show Starbucks who’s boss.

I understand that people who come from other counties need a job and low end coffee/kitchen jobs are what they can do but they should at least know what the hell they are doing before they go on the floor and deal with customers…

Get it together Mr. Horton et al, and keep my cash in Canada!

Another for the Anti-Poverty Committee

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Here’s another Rant! directed at the Anti-Poverty Committee. Perhaps they would like to submit their side of the story?

To the anti poverty committee, If your group associates themselves with people who are against freedom of the press, I and many other hard working people will never support you.

You have successfully cut all of your ties to the tax paying and law abiding public.

Until now I understood you when you would peacefully occupied buildings and held sit, but the violent protest that you were part of on March 15, 2007 was disgusting and you owe the tax paying public an apology.

The civil rights movement, apartheid, Indian independence, were all done peacefully. You people can learn lessons from them.

British Columbia currently has record low employment. I suggest that mentoring, or guiding, people afflicted with poverty in the direction of job training and government supported programs to get them jobs.

For the folks with drug and alcohol problems, well even the rich do loads of drugs and alcohol. Yet they get up in the morning and GO TO WORK!

As for the homeless, well when I moved here from Alberta, I was homeless in 94. Now I own my home.

How did I do it, I made resumes and put a fake address down.

The government of Canada has a website, and if you click on jobs people can build there resumes there. I suggest that you bring in people off of the streets and show them how to do it.

Aghhh I can’t believe you people would assault a journalistic camera. What ever happened to freedom of the press? You guys are very disappointing. Clearly you have no serious mandate or respect the people of this city or the city itself. Fuck the police, Fuck you!

Olympic Protests

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

This comment showed up from a Rant to the Anti-poverty Committee and I thought everyone would want to have a look.

More protesting….When will it end! Keep Betty in jail, thats where she belongs anyway! But all it is doing is giving something more for these lowlifes to protest about, and more reasons to vandalize our beautiful city. Yes, drowning out a children’s choir is going to make VANOC all of the sudden realize that the Olympics are wrong here and that we should spend all of our money on the homeless. F*** That! Spend the money on the Olympics! I would rather have my tax dollars go to the Olympics, then to go to helping some drug addicts who can’t even do anything about there own situation besides blame other people for their misfortunes.

Get a job, and if you already have one…Get a second one….You might have a little less time to smoke that joint or to go to your protest rally, but you will have a roof over your head!!!

Damn Protesters
