It is simply a storage facility for Emily Cars over exploited and highly over rated art. yes she is amazing and definitely a important part of Canadian art history but nobody deserves to have their art up 24/7/365 especially not in a city that takes so much credit for celebrating its many cultures. (incase the nay sayers of this site wanna take a stab at my culture, im a scottish, english, native and weird mix of euro south east mutt otherwise known as jew.) P.S. Who is this californian lady who is the head of the art gallery now. What a moronic snob. She spoke at a graduation ceremony last year in Calgary and maybe she had an off day but that was one of the worst first impressions I have ever been given. I have never been much of a fan of our gallery and a move to a bigger lot (in False Creek or not) might mean we can have a bigger and better gallery that can attract more world-class exhibits.
